Q. What dates are the residents prohibited from parking on the street?
A. From November 15 – April 15

Q. What if my mailbox gets knocked over during snow removal?
A. Because mailboxes are in the town layout, the homeowner is responsible for any repair or replacement.

Q. Is it alright to place a basketball hoop in the road?
A. No, there is actually a by-law in East Bridgewater that prohibits this.

Q. When I am shoveling or snow blowing on my property, can I displace snow onto road?
A. No, this becomes a walking or driving hazard and is not allowed.

It is also illegal for you or anyone plowing your driveway to plow snow across the road or pile the plowed snow in the sidewalk.  All snow removed from your property must not be placed on town property.

Q.  Every time I shovel out my driveway the plow truck comes by and pushes more snow into it.  What should I do?

A.  The DPW recommendation is to shovel your driveway as you normally would.  When you reach the end of your driveway leave the last 3 feet of your driveway unshoveled and when the plow truck comes by again the snow will stay on the plow and not fill in your driveway.  Then, after the storm is over you can shovel the remaining 3 feet when the plows are done.
